Please
review these instructions before submitting your request for a new WX listing.
There are many airports that have
AWOS facilities without being connected to NOAA.
Therefore, your request may not be fulfilled for a particular
airport for that reason.
Before proceeding, please check the existing listings to see if your station is already there. There have been a few requests in the past for stations that are already on the list.
You can check to see if the airport ID you're looking for is available for weather reporting by doing the following:
1. Click on any of the existing airport identifiers in the list above. After the page has loaded in, look at the URL address in your browser's address window near the top.
An example for Culpeper would be: http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/KCJR.html2. Change the last three letters of KCJR in the URL address line to the airport identifier you're looking for, making sure that the replacements are in UPPER CASE as in KRDU. Now the new address should appear like this: http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/KRDU.html
3. With the cursor at the end of the URL address, press enter and now the browser will attempt to locate that page. If the URL address disappears, try pressing ctrl-z to bring it back and then get rid of any highlighting of the URL address. This is not normally a problem.
4.If the airport identifier is not available from the NOAA system, you'll see an error message of the type: "URL not found" or something to that affect. Otherwise, the weather information will be displayed.
5. If it is displayed, then click here to send an email request for it's addition to the list. Please mention whether or not you've checked for it's availability as described above.
If the station you're looking for doesn't exist, try another airport close to the one you're interested in. To look up identifiers, try one of these: US Airport Identifiers or World Airport Identifiers
