Lithium-Ion Batteries designed for these two units have a 7.4 volts @2200 mAh rating. Up to four batteries can be charged using individually controlled circuits for each battery. Bi-colored LEDs let you know the status of each battery's condition. See the link below for more information on LED status lights.

The Model L4-A is a four battery-gang charger for the Sony FP series of Lithium-Ion batteries. The FP series batteries are typically found in the Epson EHT/30, EHT/40, and the Fujitsu Stylistic 500. Battery voltage for these units are 7.2 volts. Otherwise both the CAS-4 and the L4-A are identical.

Batteries can be left in the charger indefinitely without over-charging or unnecessary heating. The pulse-charging technique maintains batteries at their maximum peak capacity right up to the point that they are removed from the charger.

In addition, the battery temperature will remain at or near ambient room temperature thoughout the entire charging cycle. This helps to extend the useful life of your Lithium-Ion batteries by not over heating the battery's chemistry.
